The refuge can be Roundup Ready® Corn 2 or conventional corn, but not as a hybrid containing B.t. technology. The common refuge options offer flexibility on each farm by combining the corn borer and corn rootworm refuges into one effective corn refuge to incorporate IRM into farm operations. Options include:
- Plant a corn refuge adjacent to each YieldGard Plus corn field.
- Plant a corn refuge as blocks within a YieldGard Plus field.
- Split the planter to alternate at least four consecutive rows of corn refuge with YieldGard Plus corn.
- Plant field perimeters or end rows to a corn refuge.
